Individual volunteers work in committees during the week. New volunteers are always welcome and appreciated.
Currently, New Eyes has the following volunteer committees:
| | Eyeglass Sorting (Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday mornings) |
| | Acknowledging Eyeglass Donations (Thursday at 11 AM) |
| | Public Relations (Monday at 1PM) |
| | Jewelry Pricing (Tuesday mornings) |
| | Jewelry Sales (Thursday afternoons) |
| | Giftware Pricing and Sales (one Wednesday and one Thursday per month) |
| | Administrative Support (schedule varies) |

"I am in dire need of glasses and do not have the insurance coverage for this or money to pay out of pocket. I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in March of this year, and have not worked because of ongoing pain and continuous doctor visits. I am living with my mother who is disabled, on a fixed income, and is trying to support me. We are financially drowning."
