Impact: How You Can Help Volunteer
Students

Students volunteer at New Eyes after school or during the summer to sort, test, and box eyeglasses for our overseas program. New Eyes provides training and adult supervision. We maintain a log of student volunteer hours and are happy to document those hours to schools, scout troops, or religious organizations.

In 2007, 54 high school and college students from 18 schools and 12 municipalities volunteered over 571 hours during their summer vacation. They sorted, tested and re-packaged thousands of pairs of donated eyeglasses for distribution overseas to poor people in developing countries.
