New Eyes for the Needy does not pay for eye exams. However, applicants must have had a recent eye exam to apply for assistance.

New York City: referrals of community agencies serving the underprivileged who are uninsured and otherwise unable to receive eye care for over one year may be provided no-charge eye health and vision screening and/or eyeglasses at various locations by contacting the Kress Vision Program of NY Downtown Hospital at 212-233-8483.
