Providing Glasses in the US  Sources of Free Eye Exams |

New Eyes for the Needy does not pay for eye exams. However, applicants must have had a recent eye exam to apply for assistance. Nationally: Click here to learn about national programs that may offer free or low-cost eye exams. New Jersey low-income residents: click here to learn about agencies in your county which may offer free eye exams. New York City: referrals of community agencies serving the underprivileged who are uninsured and otherwise unable to receive eye care for over one year may be provided no-charge eye health and vision screening and/or eyeglasses at various locations by contacting the Kress Vision Program of NY Downtown Hospital at 212-233-8483.
