New Eyes for the Needy is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded in 1932 to improve the vision of the less fortunate.
New Eyes operates primarily through volunteer efforts, led by a 15-member Board of Trustees. The paid staff consists of an Executive Director, a Director of Development and Communications and a shared Office Manager position.
Recycling programs, including the sorting and distribution of used eyeglasses, are operated by hundreds of adult and student volunteers.
New Eyes for the Needy is a United Way Agency.
